Three alternative activities will be offered
- 10:30 Chateau Lafite Masterclass
An unprecedented vertical tasting of 10 contrasting
Chateau Lafite Rothschild,
presented by Stephen Williams and John Salvi from Antique Wine
and Charles Chevallier from Chateau Lafite Rothschild.
Vintages will include:
2005 (cask sample), 2003, 2000, 1990, 1983, 1976, 1962, 1955,
1949, 1898 .
(Precise vintages presented are subject to change dependent upon
their condition during preparation.)
Geological, viticultural, technical and historical
specifications of Lafite Rothschild will be covered.
- 10:30 Principles of Wine Tasting
An entertaining and informative seminar aimed to provide
confidence in identifying quality wine. Guests will learn how to
recognise the principle quality factors and faults in wine and
build taste recognition skills covering a variety of wines. 8
different wines will be presented.
- 10:00 Private Tour
A morning private tour of two
historical palaces of the French Riviera: Villa Ephrussi de
Rothschild and its gardens, and Villa Kerylos
- 13:00 Lunch
A Mediteranean-style lunch will be served at the
Hotel's Club Dauphin,

A magnificent four course dinner featuring seven
exceptional vintages of Chateau Lafite Rothschild: 2000, 1982,
1961, 1959, 1953, 1928.
The wine
activity during the dinner will be in the form of a semi-blind
tasting where guests can put their new-found Chateau Lafite
knowledge into practice

This rare and exclusive residential weekend event is offered at
£1,900 (2,500 euros) per person to include all the fine wine
activities, two champagne receptions, two gastronomic dinners, one
gastronomic lunch and two nights accommodation with breakfast at the
Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat.
A non-residential package, on Saturday 21st April, is offered at £1,500 (2,000 euros) per person.
