The Cabinet
Commissioned by The Antique Wine Company as a distinctive piece of craftmanship, this special cabinet was hand-made by Royal cabinet maker Viscount Linley of LINLEY bespoke furniture in London.
Nephew to Queen Elizabeth II, Viscount Linley founded his specialised business in 1985, following training at Parnham House, the school for craftsmen in wood. At the time, Sir Roy Strong, then Director of the Victoria and Albert museum, commented “David Linley’s furniture will become the antiques of the future”.
Elegant Craftmanship
Detailed, exotic wood inlays and marqueterie recreate the iconic image of the Lafite-Rothschild label on the front face, while a gorgeous, twisting pattern of vine leaves is inset across the top display surface.
State-of-the-art Technology
Four (4) temperature and humidity controlled storage units are located inside the cabinet to keep all of the vintages safe, stable and under ideal conditions.
A Grand Statement
The cabinet measures a stunning 1.33m high, 3.23m wide and 0.8m deep, ensuring that it will be a statement piece either in the new owner's grand salon or fine wine cellar.
