An unprecedented major event on the world fine wine calendar
Friday 20th April - Sunday 22nd April, 2007
A small group of wine enthusiasts will be dedicating a complete
weekend to enjoying the finest vintages of Chateau Lafite Rothschild,
hosted in one of the worlds most luxurious and beautiful places,
Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, situated between Nice and Monte-Carlo on the
French Riviera.
The programme includes:
- Lafite vintage masterclass
An unprecedented tutored tasting and practical study of 10 contrasting Chateau Lafite
Rothschild vintages spanning three centuries of this legendary wine
between 1898 and present.
- Chateau Lafite Rothschild Gastronomic Challenge Dinner
Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat's award-winning
Chef, Didier Aniès, has created an exceptional gastronomic menu to
complement eight superb vintages of Chateau Lafite Rothschild to be
served as a blind tasting challenge during the dinner.
- Basic principles for enthusiastic amateurs
Running separately alongside the
Lafite masterclass, this practical tasting and seminar will appeal to partners or guests of wine enthusiasts
who may prefer to gain more general techniques, tips and hints on
the essentials for identifying quality and faults in wine.
The objective is to provide an informative, entertaining and
enjoyable weekend enabling like-minded people to share in the pleasures
of one of the world's greatest wines.
Technical presentations will be made by Antique
Wine Company's Masters of Wine, and Charles Chevallier, Director of
Chateau Lafite Rothschild.
The Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat will also be
offering a series of other non-wine related events. Including:
- A Private tour of some of the Riviera's
historical palaces
- Monte-Carlo Tennis Masters
- Top Marques Super-Car event
- Relaxing...
by the pool at the famous Club Dauphin
overlooking the deep blue Mediterranean, or shopping in Monaco.
The event is limited to just 50 residential guests with a small
number of non-residential tickets available for our clients who may have
their own properties
in the neighbourhood.
This opportunity to enjoy vintages dating back to Victorian times is
likely to be fully subscribed very quickly and reservations will be
taken in the order in which we receive the requests, so please
register your interest today, and
receive the formal printed invitation by post.
We do hope that you will want to share in this memorable experience, and
look forward very much to your participation.
Best wishes,
